Extra care housing is designed for people who want to live independently but need a helping hand from time to time.

At our extra care schemes, you will be supported by our professional and dedicated care team while enjoying the freedom that comes with having your own home. The homes in our schemes are fully self-contained so you can live independently, but our on-site care team are on hand to support you when you need it.

  • Support to attend activities

FAQs

  • Are there any additional charges?

    You will be responsible for utility costs in your apartment, which include heating, lighting, water and sewage. You are also responsible for paying council tax charges and costs associated with catering facilities.

  • Can I visit the extra care schemes before I make a decision?

    Most certainly – all our extra care housing schemes have a restaurant and are open to the public. Arrangements can also be made to visit at other times by contacting the manager directly.

  • Do you provide aids and adaptations?

    If you require additional facilities to assist you in being able to live independently, for example, a handrail in your bathroom, we can arrange the installation of fittings to suit you at any time.

  • What does my service charge cover?

    The basic service charge includes:

    • A pull cord alarm in every property
    • The cleaning and heating of communal areas
    • The use of a communal laundry room
    • The upkeep of gardens and courtyards
    • The maintenance of buildings, including all aspects of safety
    • The day-to-day running and management of the scheme
    • The use of a range of communal facilities
