How to get involved

At Brunelcare, our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we believe the best services are created in partnership with the people who use them. Your insights, experiences, and ideas are invaluable in helping us understand what matters most. That’s why we are committed to ensuring your voice actively shapes our decisions, our improvements, and the future direction of our organisation.

Our range of opportunities

We want every resident and relative to feel they can influence the care and support we provide. Whether it’s sharing feedback, taking part in conversations about change, or helping us test new approaches, your involvement plays a crucial role in creating services that are responsive, reliable, and centred around you.

We’re proud of the range of opportunities available for residents and relatives to get involved in, such as:

  • The Care Circle
  • Customer Surveys
  • Speaking at Board meetings
  • Annual Report
  • Interviews – Trustee and Executive Team vacancies
  • Review of policies and procedures
  • Colleague Awards
  • New website project
  • Input into our Customer Involvement Strategy
  • Give feedback – Through Home Managers

Ways to get involved – join the Care Circle

The Care Circle was established in 2024 with the first meeting being held in October of that year. The group was developed to provide a supportive environment where residents and their families can engage directly with Brunelcare and to ensure that the voice of our customers is at the heart of everything we do. By forming this group, we are aiming to ensure that our customers and their families are not only heard, but can influence and shape the services we provide. Through regular feedback, open discussions and collaborative planning, the group aims to improve the quality and consistency of the care we provide across our homes.

The objectives of the Care Circle include:

  • Sharing Best Practices: Promoting the sharing of best practices across our care homes and gathering ideas that will help us improve and innovate within our facilities.
  • Supporting Continuity of Care: Working together to create a more seamless and consistent care experience across all our homes.
  • Inclusive Planning with Families: Actively involving relatives and friends in planning processes and strategic decisions to ensure our care reflects the needs and expectations of our residents, now and in the future.
