Marking both the Queen’s 90th birthday and Brunelcare’s 75th anniversary year,  Brunelcare’s Deerhurst Care Home in Kingswood, Bristol threw their doors open on 21st April for a ‘Deerhurst’s Got Talent’ show, celebrating the hidden talents of the care staff and the residents’ sense of fun!

The staff and residents who took part had lots of fun rehearsing for the show.  And on the day, everyone – including families and friends – definitely had a wonderful time watching, listening and singing along.

The judges of our talent show included Brunelcare’s CEO Paula Kennedy, and Jan Little, Director of Brunelcare’s Care Homes and two volunteers who support the home.  Mavis & Marianne were the winning act, with ‘Wrong Direction’ in 2nd place and ‘Sister Act’ taking 3rd place. We are proud of everyone who took part.

This demonstrates just what a difference activities run by our care homes make – no matter what stage of life you have reached. We have fun helping everyone make the most of their lives!
