Each morning this week, 18th – 22nd July 2017, Ben McGrail’s show on BBC Somerset radio includes a great feature celebrating care and carers across Somerset.
Listen in between 09:00-12:00 each morning on 95.5FM, 1566AM & Digital: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p001d78n
The programmes includes interviews with Dawn Bawden, a Carer working in our Somerset Community Services team, accompanying her on her visits and talking to the clients we support.
This is how the programme feature is likely to run each day:
- Mon 18th July between 09:00-10:00: an interview with Somerset County Council about Community Care and an ‘audio collage’ of our carer Dawn and her clients Eve, June and Janet
- Tue 19th– Thurs 21st: a segment each day featuring one of the three clients Ben visited with Dawn
- Fri 22nd: programme includes full interview with Dawn
Let’s hope the feature – and the mini “news” and interest spots on the breakfast and drive time shows – encourage plenty of listener engagement with phone in discussions, contributing to this broadcast celebration of home care across the Somerset region!
