The Brunelcare – Ashley House consortium are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a contract by Bristol City Council to provide a care facility at the New Fosseway Road site in Hengrove, Bristol.
The multi-million pound facility will form part of the Council’s Retirement Living programme, which started in 2013 and aims to deliver around 1,000 additional extra care housing units across the city.
The New Fosseway site (pictured right) will include 200 extra care housing units as one or two bed apartments which will be available for rent, shared ownership and private sale. The site will also feature a specialist dementia care home with 63 beds and boast other associated health, retail and leisure facilities to benefit the whole community.
In keeping with Bristol City Council’s commitment to making the city more dementia friendly, the entire campus will offer a new approach to the provision of desirable accommodation with help and support available at various levels, dependent upon need.
Paula Kennedy, CEO, Brunelcare said:
“We are delighted the partnership that we have developed with Ashley House will facilitate the delivery of much-needed accommodation and services for older people requiring care and support in Bristol, in an exciting development of high-quality homes. Brunelcare is committed to helping people remain as independent as possible and to helping make the most of their lives and this scheme will support many older people to do both.”
All four of Brunelcare’s care homes have been rated ‘gold standard’ for their end of life care
Brunelcare’s Robinson House care home is the first care home in Bristol to be rated by Dementia Care Matter’s Household Model of Care Butterfly Accreditation scheme as a ‘Butterfly Home’
