This is exciting news about George Pickering, a wonderful Student Intern who worked in our Robinson House care home, and the Brunelcare team who supported him!
George and Brunelcare’s Robinson House team were awarded the ‘Gold Standard Award’ by Mayor Marvin Rees yesterday, 5th July. This was for ‘The Bristol Supported Internship Programme’ supported by Bristol City Council, City of Bristol College and Sixteen Co-operative Ltd.
Joy White, Manager of Robinson House said,
“I feel really proud of Becky and Kay and her House Keeping team who worked really hard to build confidence with George Pickering who was referred to us from Project Search. He worked in Robinson House’s House Keeping team for 12 weeks, 4 days a week, 11am – 2pm. We could see him grow week to week and it was sad to actually see him leave.
This is an honour for Brunelcare and Robinson House to win the ‘Gold Standard Award’ for ‘The Bristol Supported Internship Programme’!”

Well done everyone. What an achievement!
