On Sunday 13th August a very special charity football match was held in Bristol between two teams comprising Bristol Rovers Veterans and Fans! The match was held in memory of Martin Belsten (a dedicated Rovers fan!) and was organised by his grandson, Ashley Belsten.
Brunelcare’s Deerhurst Care Home provided loving care for Martin.
Brunelcare employees and Deerhurst residents attended the match and had fantastic fun – as you can see!
Brunelcare wishes to say a very big thank you to Ashley for the terrific effort he went to organising and publicising this very special football match. The fund raising total so far has reached a staggering £6,000.
These funds enable Deerhurst to continue to organise the stimulating and special activities that take place on a daily basis in the care home, helping people make the most of their lives. Thank you Ashley!
