Brunelcare were proud to sponsor a special Somerset awards event this May – the ‘Pride of Sedgemoor Awards 2018’.
The awards were a celebration of the very best of the Sedgemoor district and a chance to recognise ‘unsung heroes’. The Bridgwater Mercury newspaper teamed up with headline sponsor, Sedgemoor District Council, to organise the event.
In choosing to sponsor the Carer award, Michelle Mansfield, Director of Community Services for Brunelcare says:
“As an employer of over 1,000 carers, Brunelcare understands the significant role a Carer plays in helping someone make the most of their life. We are proud to be sponsoring the Carer award at the Pride of Sedgemoor Awards this year, to recognise and thank carers – paid or unpaid – for their hard work and dedication. It is important to celebrate this vital role within health and social care.”
The awards ceremony took place on 16th May and Chelsea Dummer was announced as winner of the Carer award. Our CEO Kevin Fairman presented the award. Chelsea was recognised for the dedicated care and support she provides her Mum, who has undergone several operations in recent years requiring support at home. Chelsea has provided this daily care whilst also holding down a full time job.
Our congratulations to a very deserving winner!
