Clifton Pavilion (Bristol Zoo Gardens) was the setting for a very special occasion – Brunelcare’s annual Long Service and Learning & Development awards evening.
This year, 23 employees collected an award for long service, celebrating a total of 326 years’ service between them! Amongst the awards were amazing 10 year, 15 year, 20 year and even 25 year and 30 year service awards.
There were also 13 employees who collected a learning and development award, three employees who collected an apprenticeship award and one employee who collected an award after she recently completed her exams to be become an overseas registered nurse.
Kevin Fairman, Brunelcare’s CEO says:
“By general consensus, this year’s Long Service and Learning & Development Awards event was the best yet. Ably hosted by our Chair since the start of 2019, Deborah Evans, the evening involved 51 employees from across the charity, along with family members or friends.
The highlight of the evening was the videos sourced by our excellent Marketing team, with feedback on people receiving long service awards from their closest colleagues. It was very touching and a reminder of why ‘Kind’ is such an important quality in the culture at Brunelcare.”
We’d also like to thank our partners at Bristol zoo for the excellent service we received throughout the evening. The challenge is now for 2020 to be even better again!
Brian Whittaker, Brunelcare’s HR & OD Director says:
“We have fantastic colleagues who make a massive difference to the quality of our residents and service users lives every day. Having the opportunity to celebrate their achievements is important and our awards evening is an essential part of that. I am proud and inspired by spending time saying thank you to those attending as we recognised their achievements both in regard to awards and qualifications earned and also milestone lengths of service.”
