Regulatory information

As a social housing provider, Brunelcare is regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH). The RSH sets out its Economic and Consumer Standards that all social housing providers must meet.

The RSH

The RSH conducts regular reviews of Brunelcare’s performance. The economic standards cover governance, financial viability and value for money. The Consumer Standards over the provision of quality homes and services to tenants.

  • Governance – Brunelcare has a G1 rating
  • Finance – Brunelcare has a V2 rating
  • Consumer Standards – Brunelcare has not yet been assessed under this standard

Consumer standards

The RSH sets out five consumer standards – which all social housing providers are expected to meet:

  • Safety & Quality
  • Tenancy
  • Transparency, Influence and Accountability
  • Neighbourhood & Community
  • Tenant Satisfaction Measures

The role of the RSH is to formally intervene if we fail to meet the standards in a way that caused, or could have caused, serious harm to tenants.

We carry out an annual self-assessment against the consumer standards which involves a staff review of the standards and evidence that we are meeting them.
