
Estate management
Brunelcare is responsible for all the internal and external shared or communal spaces on our sheltered housing and extra care housing sites.

External cleaning
Brunelcare works with Vapor Clean to undertake external cleaning services. This includes:
- All windows and glazing externally including balconies – four times a year
- The glazing on all external communal windows and doors – four times a year
- Windowsills, frames and door frames – four times a year
- Gutter, gully clearance – once a year
- Pressure washing of bin stores and bins
- Pressure washing of canopies
- All external areas of the building such as weatherboards, fascias and soffits
Grounds maintenance
Brunelcare works with ID Verde to undertake grounds maintenance services. This includes:
- Grass cutting
- Border, shrub and hedge maintenance
- Collection of litter
- Leaf clearance
- Survey of trees
When is the next grounds maintenance visit expected
The ground maintenance visits are to take place on the following timescales:
Summer maintenance – visit once every fortnight from mid-March to mid-October – a total of 16 visits
Autumn maintenance – visit once every fortnight from mid-October to mid-December – a total of 4 visits
Winter maintenance – visit once a month in January and February – a total of two visits
Bins Stores and Collections
Bristol City Council (BCC) are responsible for the provision of the waste and recycling bins. In communal blocks where individual bins are provided, BCC will also collect the bins. To find out the day of your collection please click here.
Refuse areas are provided in communal blocks, and your cooperation is required to keep them tidy at all times and to use the correct bin and to recycle as much as possible. If bins are not collected
Large items can be moved by arrangement with BCC and should not be left about the property or grounds.
Medical refuse must be disposed of safely at all times in accordance with health and safety regulations on safe disposal.
