Celebrating International Nurses Day 2021

This International Nurses Day, we want to say a big thank you to all of our fantastic nurses for their continued hard work and dedication to providing outstanding care.

To celebrate the day, we spoke to six Brunelcare nurses who shared their favourite part of working in social care.

The featured nurses are all enrolled on our new Excellence in Nursing programme, which launched in March 2021. The programme was created with an aim to celebrate great registered nurse leadership and challenge preconceptions around working as a registered nurse in social care. The programme also hopes to provide development opportunities for registered nurses within Brunelcare.

Teresa Chinn MBE, who is leading the Brunelcare Excellence in Nursing programme, said: “This year’s International Nurses Day is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate nurses in social care. Over the past year we have all worked so hard under the most challenging of circumstances, so it’s wonderful to be able to highlight that being a nurse in social care is an amazing role.”
