Today our Little Heath Reablement & Support Centre held a celebration event to officially launch our new service.

Guests, colleagues and members of the community came together this afternoon to mark the launch of the new service and celebrate all Little Heath has achieved so far.

Opening in 2020, Little Heath has supported more than 700 people to return home after a hospital stay with their dedicated care and reablement service.  With the current contract for reablement services coming to an end, our centre is being repurposed to focus on providing nursing and care for people not living with a dementia.

We will also be entering into a new partnership with South Gloucestershire Council to provide four beds for admissions from the community, which will allow people to access short term support for up to eight weeks before returning to live independently in their own home.

The event kicked off with speeches from our Centre Manager Lewis Farrell, Director of Nursing Sandra Payne and CEO Oona Goldsworthy, followed by tours around our newly refurbished rooms. We then wrapped up the afternoon with some celebratory cake!

We had a fantastic time celebrating all Little Heath has achieved so far, and we look forward to seeing what comes next. A huge thank you to our incredible Little Heath Reablement & Support team for their continued hard work.

Lewis Farrell, Little Heath Reablement Manager, said: “I would like to thank my team and the staff who have made such a huge difference to the lives of people we have supported at Little Heath.

“I am excited to begin a new chapter at Little Heath and welcome new guests who can now make this their permanent home.”
