We welcome involvement from enthusiastic and caring people
This includes our Friends on the Phone scheme, a telephone befriending opportunity supporting those we care for with weekly chats over the phone. Alongside more tailored community based face to face support – which could be either helping someone still unable or unwilling to leave their home with getting essential supplies, or where face to face support offers more appropriate contact (within government guidelines). As well as admin support needed in our offices and other ad-hoc requests.
Please fill out our application form if you are interested in volunteering at this time or contact us on volunteering@brunelcare.org.uk. Thank you!
If you can spare just an hour a week it would make a huge difference and brighten someone’s day. Everything we do is about helping people make the most of their lives.
In return, we promise to welcome you, guide you and support you. In addition you will have the satisfaction of helping someone, having fun, meeting new people and seeing the positive impact your time can make.
Our volunteers find their role as a volunteer truly rewarding.
Some find volunteering helps with their studies, whilst others find the time they give benefits them socially. Others volunteer because they see the benefit giving their time brings and it makes them feel good. A few people have even found permanent employment with us as a result of volunteering. Whatever your reason, please come and try volunteering with us!

Here are some of the volunteering opportunities we offer, however, if you have a particular skill you would like to offer, such as singing, painting, or musical talents please let us know.
Our Day Centres are a wonderful way to interact with older people in a group setting. With no more than 12 clients it is a small and welcoming group. As a volunteer you can enjoy getting involved with activities such as quizzes, craft, excursions and just chatting to our lovely service users.
Our residents really benefit from having someone who can spend some time with them. Sitting, talking, reading, helping with activities or walking in the garden are all valuable tasks.
The gardens are an important part of the site for residents and relatives to be able to enjoy. We don’t expect you to be a whizz in the garden, just someone with passion and an interest! This role can be adapted to either working by yourself or involving the residents to help with potting and such appropriate tasks
If you are unable to volunteer regularly, but would still like to contribute, why not join us as an occasional volunteer? We are always needing an extra pair of hands to help make a day out run perfectly. Our days out are always supported by staff and are great fun for all concerned!
We are looking for help with our pub, in our care home based in Whitehall Every day residents enjoy their lunch and a tipple here and we would love some volunteers to help us between 12 – 2pm.
